Voices of the Island

In this collection, I paint the quiet companions of the Cyclades — the cats resting in sunlit corners, the donkey waiting patiently in the heat, the small souls who move through the island with a calm I’ve always admired.

I love the way they belong to the light: how a cat curls into a doorway as if it has always lived in the color of that wall, how a donkey stands in silence, holding the softness of the day in its eyes.

These paintings are my way of listening to them — to their presence, their gentleness, their simple truth that life here breathes slowly, one warm afternoon at a time.
