Nights of Mykonos
Nights of Mykonos
At night, Mykonos breathes differently. The white walls no longer reflect the sun — they hold the light of people, voices, and the sea.
I walk through the alleys and paint the silence between sounds — the warmth that lingers after laughter, the shimmer of a lamp on stone, the blue that deepens just before it disappears.
I try to capture what remains when the noise fades — that soft, golden pulse of the island after dark, when light becomes memory, and the night feels alive with color and quiet.
Painted in wet-on-wet to let form dissolve into air, and dry brush to hold the weight of stone, this work is a quiet conversation between time and stillness — between what remains and what has faded into light.
