The Fields of Light
These paintings are small stories of the land — grapes warming in the sun, olive leaves flickering silver, yellow nets resting in the dust, the hum of bees drifting through thyme, the quiet shimmer of wild herbs breathing in the heat. They are the breath of the Aegean when no one is watching — the life that continues softly, endlessly, under the same wide sky.
I painted them in wet-on-wet watercolor, letting color move like air through leaves, earth, and morning light, and with dry brush for the textures of wood, stone, and soil.
Each work is a listening — to the sound of wind moving through the fields, to the memory of hands gathering fruit, to the timeless echo of sunlight turning everything to gold.
