I borrowed the title of Elizabeth von Arnim’s novel as a quiet companion to the scene. Not as an illustration of its story, but as a reminder of how reading and daydreaming can carry us somewhere else.

The Paper I Use
Hahnemühle William Turner 190gsm
A 100% cotton, mould-made fine-art paper with a distinct watercolor texture and a soft matte surface. Its natural white tone and delicate grain bring depth to the pigments while preserving the gentle transitions of light in my original watercolor.
Acid- and lignin-free, without optical brighteners, it is designed for archival fine-art printing.
