The Sea, The Sea — Iris Murdoch

60,00 €

I imagined a place where I could leave a book open and listen to the sea instead — a chair beneath wind-shaped branches, a striped cloth on the sand, and turquoise water just beyond. Sometimes the most meaningful part of reading is the moment I stop and look up.

I borrowed Iris Murdoch’s title, The Sea, The Sea, for the way the horizon draws my eyes back again and again. It is not an illustration of the novel, but a small meditation on that familiar, endlessly changing blue.

A fine-art giclée print from my original watercolor painting, created with archival pigments on Hahnemühle William Turner 190gsm.

This is an open-edition fine-art print, signed by hand and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Image size: 14.5 × 14.5 cm (W × H). Paper size: 19 × 19 cm (W × H).

Unframed prints are carefully rolled and shipped in protective tubes.

The Paper I Use

Hahnemühle William Turner 190gsm

A 100% cotton, mould-made fine-art paper with a distinct watercolor texture and a soft matte surface. Its natural white tone and delicate grain bring depth to the pigments while preserving the gentle transitions of light in my original watercolor.

Acid- and lignin-free, without optical brighteners, it is designed for archival fine-art printing.
