I imagined an Aegean morning through an open window — a curtain moving in the sea breeze, flowers catching the light, and a cup of coffee left beside the view. Beyond it all, the blue horizon seems to hold a secret.
I borrowed the title of John Fowles’s The Magus for that quiet sense of mystery I sometimes feel on the islands. Not to illustrate the novel, but to suggest how an ordinary moment can become something less certain, almost dreamlike.

The Paper I Use
Hahnemühle William Turner 190gsm
A 100% cotton, mould-made fine-art paper with a distinct watercolor texture and a soft matte surface. Its natural white tone and delicate grain bring depth to the pigments while preserving the gentle transitions of light in my original watercolor.
Acid- and lignin-free, without optical brighteners, it is designed for archival fine-art printing.
